Debris and Corner Shoring

One of the things that really sold us on our house was the size of the backyard. Not only is it a great place for Rosie to run around, it's a great place to stack debris:

We were relieved to see that the back corner of the house had not, in fact, collapsed:

You can in the above picture that some of the dirt under that corner did "slump" a bit. To prevent further settling, the contractors piled up some of that concrete debris:

They also added another member to provide some cross-bracing:

And now, for no good reason, here is a picture of a dog with a pancake on her head:
