Renovation Resources

We often get requests for contractor and other vendor referrals. So we've put together a list of our favourite contractors and vendors, and what we've used them for. These are all, obviously, local or local-ish to Alameda, California. We don't know contractors outside of this area, sorry.

How do you get on this list? The simple answer is that we hire you to do a job, or buy something from you, and the experience is good. We won't list somebody we've never used, and we won't list somebody who has either done a shoddy job or cheated us or just been a pain in the butt to deal with. If somebody has been removed from the list, you should assume that they did something to warrant it. We do not participate in bogus "link exchanges" with random companies we have never used. We have received nothing but good service from the companies listed here. This is not an advertising page, but a reference tool.
