A Man With a Mission

Noel woke full of energy or something, because this morning he borrowed our neighbor Diane's edger and attacked the front walk (both ours and our other neighbors'). He edged the lawns, used the spade to cut off the grass growing out of the cracks in the sidewalk, and generally went crazy in the front of the house. I think it looks quite nice now:

In the meantime, I watered the street tree, the baby magnolia (which is nicely leafing out) and the lavender, and did some weeding. I swept some of the sidewalk clean, too.

Rosie had our new neighbor Ted the puppy over for playtime, and we got out the dog pool, but Ted could not be convinced that it was not bathtime and refused to go swimming, so Rosie had to swim for both of them.
