Straight and Narrow

Or rather, too short. The raked segments of railing we got turned out to be too short to meet current code. So all we got done today was installing the last of the straight sections and returning the wrong bits.

Straight sections of railing installed

Still pretty impressive.

Grace checking out the deck

While Noel was installing a bracket, Grace came up to see what was going on. She was pretty wary of the deck, which is just fine by me. I'm not keen on cleaning chicken poops off the deck all the time.

Goldie in the sun

Also hard at work was Supervisor Goldie. She's feeling much better a week after her surgery, and the biopsy came back as a Level 2, which has a low chance of recurrence. Good news for all of us.

Glad to hear the prognosis is good for Goldie. Woof and a hug to her!

Goldie's enthusiasm and exuberance for life always astound me. How do you manage to keep her under control?

(rofl)
