So, the siding is ready, due to arrive on Wednesday next week. We'll have a fun time unloading it from the truck (delivery is curbside only, which is typical for building materials) with the help of one friend whose work is closed down for the week and probably some temporary hired help.
Then Saturday and Sunday next week will be the fun times.
We'll be priming the boards on both sides. We'll be clearing around the walls and stapling up new, fresh building paper. We'll be flashing around things that come out of the walls. And then we'll be installing the siding and trim.
We'll be working both days, starting at around 10am and going until darkish. You're welcome to join us if you would like; drop us an email if you need the address or any other information.
I think it's actually going to be pretty fun. Apart from Wednesday morning, which is going to SUCK, with the unloading of what the mill tells us is 1500 pieces of wood, but there's nothing to do but move forward. Or, I guess, leave thousands of dollars of wood in the street.
