The Naked Front Door

I hemmed and hawed over cute titles and fun ways to write this up, but eh, it's the end of summer and construction season is drawing to a frenetic close, so I don't have the brain power for it right now because I'm juggling a half dozen projects under construction and another half dozen on the drawing board. So here's our front door:

Yep. And yet.

Guess what? That's actually still more paint, because out front door is actually a darker wood (we know this because we've stripped the inside, as you may recall).

I believe they used a chemical stripper on it -- Jasco -- and they'll still have more work to do to get it entirely stripped.

In the meantime, interior stripping is underway in the kitchen:

I went by while this was underway and introduced Woody to the delight of opening both the front and back doors for the cross-breeze. If the windows upstairs were not still sealed up, he could also open those, but he made that bed for himself.

Window corbels

The various re-produced and repaired parts for the east window are slowly being epoxied and installed. I look forward to be able to take down that last bit of scaffolding at some point in the relatively near future.
